Serval cat is native to African grassland found in south of Sahara desert. The serval cat is medium sized with average body size of about 54-62cm . The average weight of serval cat is about 9-18kg. They are leopard like . They have small head with body coat colour of golden yellow, black ,orange , tan or dark brown. They have spotted body. Serval cat are carnivores. Mating of serval cat occur at different time of the year and the gestation period is about 2-3 months. The kitten start hunting at the age of six month and leave their mother at about 12months. Many of the people keep serval cat as exotic pets but they are endangered specie. The serval cat are not recommended to be domesticated due to its wild nature.
